Swim Club Rules and Regulations

|
The
following Rules & Regulations have been established for the
protection of all members of the Riverdel Swim Club and their guests and
to assure safe and sanitary operation of the pool facilities. ALL
EXCEPTIONS TO THESE RULES WILL BE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES. Rules governing the operation of the facilities in the
recreation areas will be posted in the area itself or on the bulletin
board.
Parents are requested to caution their children to observe these rules
and to obey the instructions of the Pool Manager(s), life guards, and
other employees. Failure to comply with these rules may be sufficient
cause of suspension of pool privileges, or if persisted, for revocation
of membership.
Members are requested to inform their guest(s) of applicable regulations
to avoid the necessity of the Pool Manager and Personnel having to do
so.
The Trustees have delegated the authority to enforce these rules to the
Pool Manager(s). Questions regarding their application should be
directed to him/her.

| A.
Supervision requirements are as follows: |
|
13 years &
older- no swim band necessary. May attend anytime during regular pool
hours. |
|
11 & 12
years- may attend Club without adult supervision from pool opening to 7
p.m. if intermediate swim band has been acquired. May also
attend after 7 p.m. with an adult or designated sitter (13 years or
older). |
|
10 years &
under- must be supervised by an adult or designated sitter (13 years or
older) at all times regardless of swim band acquired. |
| B.
Certain areas of the Club will be reserved for group activities at
prearranged times. Notices of such reserved times will be posted on the
bulletin board in advance. Such reservations can only be made with prior
approval of the Pool Manager. |
| C.
The pool will be closed when necessary for maintenance operations. |

| II.
Guests & Visitors: |
| A.
Weekday guest rates are $8.00. Weekend guest rates are $10.00. Senior
citizens (60 years & over) are $2.00 at all times with verification
of age. Children 2 years and under are free. |
| B.
Out of Town guest passes must be cleared by the Pool Manager and are to
be paid in advance. Written notice and proof of out of town status must
be provided prior to admittance to the Club. |

Rates are
$10.00 per person per week or $30.00 per family per week (no limit to
number of family members) |
|
House guests
are defined as out of town guests staying with a relative who is a Club
member. (Summer Guests not eligible) |
| C.
Baby-sitting- Non-member babysitters (13 years & older) or members
babysitting nonmember children must apply for a babysitter pass. (Summer
Guests not eligible) Babysitter passes will be issued with Board
approval only. A written request must be filed with the board stating
the nature of the pass and the name, address, phone # and age of the
nonmember applicant(s). The Club assumes no responsibility or liability
for any individual admitted to the club using the babysitter pass.
Babysitter Passes may be purchased for a flat fee of $110 per session,
per person and may be used Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. only and
excludes holidays. Babysitters may also use the regular daily guest
rates. |
| D.
All guests must be registered by the sponsoring member upon entering the
grounds. A guest book is maintained at the checkers booth with both
members & guest names. |
| E.
Weekend guest must be limited to 5 per member unless approval of the
Manager is obtained 24 hours in advance. |
| F.
Parties- Members wishing to hold a group party involving several
non-members must submit a letter to the manage for Board approval one
week in advance. Parties are limited to a minimum of 10 nonmembers /
maximum of 25. |
| G.
There is no charge for non-swimming adult guest, providing they do not
use the athletic facilities of the Club. They must sign in as above and
be approved by the manager. |
| H.
Bond holder and time payment members may purchase one guest pass package
(8 one-day passes) per season at a cost of $30.00. The guest passes are
valid for adult or child every day except Family Day and July 4th.

| III.
Health & Safety For reasons of health and safety, all members and
guests shall observe the following: |
| A.
All bathers must shower before entering the pool. |
| B.
No expectorating and / or blowing the nose in pool. |
| C.
Admission to the pools may be refused to anyone with inflamed eyes,
infections or when wearing a bandage. |
| D.
No running, pushing, wrestling, pall playing or undue disturbance will
be tolerated in the bathhouse, Snack Bar or pool areas. |
| E.
Playing ball in the pool and seating areas is not permitted unless
authorized by the Manager, and only with equipment provided by the Club. |
| F.
Use of the wading pool is limited to children not qualified for the main
pool area. |
| G.
No flotation devices of any kind are allowed in the Club (except Raft
Nights). This includes swimmies & bubbles. |
| H.
All non-band children in the main pool MUST have an adult/sitter IN THE
WATER, watching no more than two children at one time. |
| I.
Parents must be responsible for the safety of their children while in
the wading pool as there is no life guard stationed in this area.
Parents MUST ACCOMPANY THEM AT THE WATER and be aware of the shallow
water rescue procedure. No Exceptions. |
| J.
Diving Board Policy: |
|
Low
Board: Children who have attained the BEGINNER swim band may use the
low board provided they have parental supervision present on the
concrete apron. INTERMEDIATE swim band permits use of low board without
supervision. |
|
High
Board: Children may us the high board if they have attained the
INTERMEDIATE band and have parental supervision on the concrete apron.
Children with the ADVANCED band may use the high board without
supervision. |
|
Diving
Board Rules:
1. Only one person allowed on the board at a time.
2. No diving or jumping from the side of the board.
3. No swimming across the pool under the boards.
4. No diving or jumping from the sides into diving well.
5. No diving for coins is permitted.
6. Divers must wait until previous person has reached the ladder
7. No running on the diving boards.
8. No backward dives where head goes toward the board (i.e.. inward
dives/gainers) will be allowed.
9. No sitting type dives allowed on boards. |

| IV.
GENERAL |
| A.
Children under 13 years old will qualify with the management to obtain
suitable ID for access to the various sections of the pool. (See Section
V. Swim Bands) |
| B.
Street clothes are not to be used as bathing attire. |
| C.
Food or refreshments of any description may be consumed only in
prescribed areas (Snack Bar Patio, picnic groves). Grills may be used in
designated areas only. |
| D.
Glass containers ARE NOT PERMITTED on the Club grounds. This includes
baby bottles, soda, or any glass whatsoever. Coolers are checked for
glass and alcoholic beverages. |
| E.
Smoking is not permitted on the cement pool aprons. |
| F.
Pets are not permitted within the club grounds. |
| G.
No abusive or foul language will be tolerated. |
| H.
No alcoholic beverages will be permitted (with the exception of adult
socials). Coolers are checked when entering the Club grounds. |
| I.
All bicycles shall be walked in & parked where designated. |
| J.
Members and guests shall drive slowly and carefully al all times in the
Club parking area. |
| K.
The opening & closing of the Pool due to weather conditions shall be
the responsibility of the Club officers. |
| L.
No loitering is permitted at the checkers stand, Managers office, snack
bar and in or around the bathhouse. |
| M.
All members & guests, including children, using the Club facilities
will do so at their own risk. The Club will not be responsible for any
accident or injury connected to such use. |
| N.
Chairs are not permitted on pool aprons. |
| O.
All members, including children are requested to cooperate in keeping
the entire property clean. |
| P.
All notices for bulletin boards are to be submitted to Management for
approval before posting, and all announcements must be approved before
being read. |
| Q.
Cost of any property damage will be chargeable to person doing damage. |
| R.
Park in prescribed areas only. |
| S.
All untrained children MUST wear a diaper & rubber pants or elastic
leg disposable diapers under bathing suits in both pools. |
| T.
No gum chewing allowed in the Pools. |
| U.
Membership cards must be presented and picked up each day by every
individual. |

| V.
SWIM BANDS |
| A.
Band Requirements for all children under 13 years old. Band testing
requires children swim the freestyle stroke. |
|
1. BEGINNER BAND
- children must swim from the shallow end wall to the first rope.
2. INTERMEDIATE BAND - children must swim entire length of pool, dive
off low board and tread water 30 seconds.
3. ADVANCED BAND- children must swim 2 pool lengths, dive off low board,
jump off high board and tread water for one minute. |
| B.
Band Allowances |
|
1. Beginner
band allows children to swim in children's end (to first rope)
unattended and to use low board with parental supervision on pool apron.
2. Intermediate band allows children to use entire pool (except adult
end) and low board unattended and to use high board with parental
supervision on apron.
3. Advanced band allows use of entire pool (except adult end) and diving
boards unattended. |
